ARTISTIC EDUCATION
The Teatro del Lago Foundation is an organization that has a local impact and an international vocation and has become an important factor in the region’s cultural transformation. Although music, the arts and creative education continue to be viewed in Chile, and in other parts of the world, as less important school subjects for the academic-professional development and success of girls, boys and young people, the Teatro del Lago Foundation considers these crucial areas of knowledge in a person’s development and has therefore placed them in the center of its vision and philosophy. All of its activities and initiatives are focused on placing value on the transformative experience of an artistic education.
TEATRO DEL LAGO SCHOOL OF THE ARTS
The School of the Arts aims to promote creativity and the development of socio-emotional skills in children, youth, and adults through comprehensive training in the disciplines of dance and music, as well as promoting co-creation within an inclusive and joyful space.
SOCIAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
With its free, socially inclusive educational programmes, the Teatro del Lago Foundation aims to demonstrate to students that artistic development can be a driver of change. By doing so, it achieves another form of socio-educational intervention, in that it acts as a protective factor against situations of conflict and the risk of social exclusion.
EXTENDED LEARNING
Teatro del Lago offers opportunities for extended learning to students and professional musicians who come to Frutillar with an interest in improving their technical skills and artistic knowledge. These courses are led by the same artists who appear at Teatro del Lago’s Tronador Auditorium, thereby creating a unique training experience for the attendees.
